Little sister, are you here yet?
Mommy told me you would be here soon.
I don’t know what to expect,
but I have everything ready, you bet.
We’ll share a room and toys,
but I don’t mind because,
we’re going to be the best of friends, soon.
Little sister,It’s been five years since mother said
that you were lost and couldn’t be saved.
Daddy and her cried you know,
but I still waited for you.
How is it that you were gone?
Mommy said you would come,
so I know you have got to show up soon.
Little sister, are you here yet?
We have a new house
and a room just for you.
You have a little brother now,
and I tell him all about you.
He wants to see you, and so do I.
Please, come home soon.
Little sister, I’m in college now.
I keep hoping you’ll come and see me.
How you must look now,
a freshmen in high school, so pretty and wise.
Our brother has grown up,
without knowing his other sister.
But I know you’ll meet him soon.
Little sister,I bought you a dress the other day.
I saved you a spot at my side,
but you never showed up, to support the bride.
The reception was beautiful,
and I know you would have loved it.
How I wish you could meet my hubby,
but we’re expecting you soon.
Little sister, my angel was born today.
She had the most adorable smile,
and I know she looks just like her auntie.
We named her after you- Hope.
Hubby took plenty of pictures,
and I’ve saved them all, just for you.
You should really see them soon.
Little sister, the hubby and I have
just celebrated our fiftieth anniversary.
I’ve always wanted to meet your hubby,
and introduce you to our angels.
We have three little terrors,
and I wonder how many you have.
You should really bring them over soon.
Little sister, I’m all alone.
My husband died a few years ago
and my babies have all fled the nest.
Mother and father passed a while ago,
and brother never comes anymore.
I wait expectantly for your company,
but I know you’ll surprise me one day soon.
Little sister, I want to see you- just this once.
I got hospitalized and stuck in bed and
the doctors buzz around me, murmuring and frowning.
The kids and brother cried and bid farewell,
and I think I saw you in the background.
You were so beautiful and pure-
and I just felt complete, little sister I'll see you soo.....
